Last year for than 100 bands, singers, songwritters, musicians, and DJ's from Santa Barbara submitted their music, photos and blogs to be part of the Independent's first ever festival. This year they're at it again and have joioned forces with the West Beach Music & Arts festival and opened up the competition to the tri-county area. The winnin band will play the main stage the day of the Ziggy Marley performance!! Now, through Monday, August 4th, they are accepting submissions online. Online voting will take place for five days starting August 7th. So pay attention local bands!! This is a great and unique way to showcase your bands talent and create a fantastic new network.
